Why We Ride

Mother Nature has finally agreed. It’s officially cycling season. More than 100 cyclists, from police services across the province, will start their training for the 2016 Canadian Police Memorial Ride to Remember.

The 700-kilometre ride, from Alymer to Ottawa, was created as a way to honour our fallen heroes and to ensure their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Take a few minutes to watch our video to learn about the history of the Ride from Ride founder Sergeant Shawn Briggs of Niagara Regional Police Service and why more than 100 cyclists make the journey every year to show their respect to their fellow police and peace officers.
